If these pictures have inspired you to create a mossy wonder on your wall then fear not as it’s really very easy to get going. Here’s the recipe -
You need:
- A small handful of moss
- Two cups of buttermilk or yoghurt
- Two cups of beer (or water)
- Half a teaspoon of sugar
- Corn syrup (if in the end you want a thicker consistency)
Instructions:
- Wash and remove all soil from the moss clumps
- Break apart moss into manageable pieces
- Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until a paint like consistency is achieved
- If you want a thicker consistency (to prevent drips when painting on your wall) then add some corn syrup
- Use a paintbrush to apply the moss mixture to paint out your design
- Check on your design regularly and mist with water to keep it moist or add more layers of the moss mixture to encourage growth
